Looking for the perfect portable storage solution? Our Space Capsules are the answer. Clean, bright, weather proof and secure, they will keep your belongings safe, dry and clean until you’re ready to have them moved. If you are doing a complete move, the ease and savings will amaze you … especially when your closing dates don’t match.
A: We will accept and hold reservations for up to 1 week.
A: Our rental contracts are in 4-week or 1-month increments. No long-term lease is required.
A: For traditional storage units, we only charge you for rent per four-week period. For Space Capsule portable storage units, we charge for delivery and pick up of the unit.
A: We ask that you give us a minimum of 3 days notice. Please note: we do not prorate your move out for unused days.
A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, debit, EFT, paypal, interac etransfer or cash. To avoid late charges we recommend that you enroll in our automatic credit card payment plan.
A: Call Space at Hand for assistance during regular business hours.
A: You can allow access for other people you specify.
A: You need to have insurance on your contents. You can purchase insurance from us or sign waiver if you already purchased insurance coverage.
A: Yes, we offer both carts and dollies at no extra charge where drive up units are not available.
A: The capacity of a Large Space Capsule is 1024 cubic feet. One will hold the contents of a large 1-bedroom apartment with appliances, or the contents of a small 2-bedroom apartment without appliances.
A: Delivery can be made to your location even if you are not available. We ask that you provide specific positioning instructions when you place your order. Just make sure there is adequate clearance and accessibility at the desired location for your Space Capsule.
A: A Large Space Capsule fits in a standard parking space. Usually we place it on a driveway. If you would prefer a different location, just let us know.
A: We make every effort to avoid this. However, we recommend that you load your Space Capsule the way you would load a truck since we may be transporting your unit up and down hills or over bumpy roads. The Capsule is tilted when loaded onto our truck but no more than the incline that can be encountered on roads. It is recommended you tie down your storage before transportation. (See our Storage Tips for specifics.)
A: Space at Hand does not provide this service; however, your local moving company is an expert in packing and loading. We can recommend companies that can help you if you require assistance.
